Anita K. Patel, MD

Dr. Anita Patel is a double board-certified Pediatrician and Pediatric Critical Care Attending at Children’s National Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania with a major in neuroscience and minor in health care management. She subsequently attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine for medical school, followed by pediatric residency at Cornell University-New York Presbyterian Hospital and finally completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital. She is currently an NIH funded researcher specializing in pain, sedation and delirium management in critically-ill children.
